Three Steps to Effective Internet Web Video Promotion of Your Business with Backgrounds and Settings

More and more small business owners are turning to online Internet web video to boost their Internet marketing. But, most small business owners aren't experts at video and are concerned over the proper techniques in how to use their video camera. A key component to professional looking video are sites and backgrounds. Here are some background and site location tips for how to use your video camera to best promote your business.

1. Think of Different Locations From Which You Can Film.

Avoid staying cooped up in your office taking videos of you just talking to a camera. Picking a site that is related to the topic of your video will keep it fresh for the viewer. If you are talking about team building, you might want to go to a nearby school field, or a quiet field if you want to talk about getting away to re-group. Your viewer's attention will more readily be captured if you can find a location that best communicates your video's message.

Expect that the weather may not cooperate when shooting at an outdoor location. Keep a strong cover for your camera and other equipment handy in case of rain or snow. And be prepared to re-record the vocal portion if wind conditions result in poor sound quality.

2. Use a Different Background Setting for Every Video.

Background can be used in addition to location to emphasize your video's subject matter. Because video appeal's to your audience visually as well as audibly, if you choose your background carefully you can have a tremendous impact on the success of your video.

A noisy subway would serve as a much different background with all its sounds than a quiet cornfield, or being outside during a hail storm. Your neighborhood will have all different kinds of background options right nearby, so keep your eyes open for possible settings you can use .

3. Arrange Your Setting.

The visual arrangement of your video is important, so make sure you arrange the background in such a way that it is visually appealing to your viewers.

Large backgrounds, for example require you to stand about halfway between the setting and the camera. If you are too close, no one will be able to see the background. Too far away, and the viewers won't see you. It's important to remember that you need to stand back further than would seem necessary. Most video recorders are set to default to the wide screen setting, so you need to shoot from at least ten feet to include everything.

Internet web video is the future of online promotion, and if you know how to use your video camera well it will be simpler to create powerful, impactful videos fast. Effective backgrounds and settings will help tremendously in making compelling Internet web videos.
